BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY with PAUL VICK
Today 15th March 2006 I attended a very unusual form of alternative healing. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. I believe strongly in coincidences and this coincidence seemed to land right on my doorstep! On my travels I have heard of various forms of alternative medicines, but I must admit I had never heard of this one, so curiosity got the better of me and I spoke with Paul Vick of Resonance Trainings.
It was explained to me how Resonance Craniosacral therapy works with your body's natural capacity to heal itself and is used to treat various conditions. Well indeed I have a condition!
Paul spoke with me at length to form a picture of what had gone on for me to be in the condition as I was, then I was invited to lay on a typical massage type bed. For this treatment you do not remove any clothes and a blanket was laid on top of me to keep me warm and comfortable. The room was very quiet and Paul moved quietly around me down to my feet. I had entered the room with an open mind, how on earth can some form of hands on healing or listening to my energy levels actually help my physical pain? So I suppose I was bordering disbelief rather than belief in being helped.
As soon as Paul placed his hands near my feet, I felt like energy lines were rushing towards him, this feeling came from the top of my thighs getting stronger as they neared my feet. It took me quite by surprise as I wasn't expecting it.
Paul spent quite a time at my feet before going on to my knees. He worked with his hands on the outsides of my knees followed by the top then the inside of my knees. In each position I noticed a different feeling. The outside of my knees gave me a feeling of well-being and made me feel like laughing, whilst the inside made me feel quite sick, like having indigestion after eating something 'heavy'.
Paul worked around to my head, sitting comfortably behind me he cupped the sides of my head. The feeling I received at this point is quite difficult to describe but I will try my best. If you can imagine the centre of your head, right inside, it was like two parallel lines rubbing up and down in opposite directions, like a pirate ship at the funfair, but this feeling was so nice, so soothing I didn't want it to stop!
After quite a while, Paul asked me to lay still for a while before slowly raising myself off the bed. Usually I'm in a rush, but today was different. I was enjoying the feeling! I had entered the room in pain and almost all the pain had dissipated! But I am a person who likes to rush everything, so a smile was on my face as the two of me battled as to which one would win!
Finally I got up, slightly disorientated and feeling like a floppy rag doll. I had relaxed!

Yesterday I began the day with a deep intense aching in the back of my neck. I attended one session with Paul Vick's Craniosacral Therapy. I awoke today feeling rather refreshed after a very good nights sleep and the only thing I can complain about today is aching from being able to move my body more than usual and a slight throbbing. My next session with Paul is next Thursday.

My second cranio sacral therapy morning. The past week I had experienced a feeling of firing on all cylinders in all directions. A very tiring time. The usual deep throbbing very hot pain had turned complete circle and I had been very cold all week. So I knew something was happening and as I had taken less painkillers than usual, I knew it could only be for the good of my body, recovery was happening. Todays craniosacral therapy session was very quiet, I laid on the bed, warm under the blanket Paul sat very quiet and still at my feet. Slowly I felt as if my body was 'coming together', like energy and physical body were rejoining again. It was like a sinking feeling, and often felt like being drawn into a vortex. At one point I felt as if my left shoulder region was being folded over like pastry, I resisted the feeling for a while as it felt like being on a boat very slowly rocking over, it was a very strange but nice feeling. Time elapsed then I felt my right side do exactly the same thing! These things happening to me were spontaneous. I felt complete as if two beings one physical one spiritual had rejoined together after a long time being apart. I feel more relaxed and quiet than I have done in a so long time.
Would I say this strange alternative healing is working. Yes.
I don't really feel I understand it fully, I don't feel I totally believe it but I feel I don't have to. It's working and that is what really matters.
